When you register on the forum, we collect your display name, email address, and any details you choose to share in your profile, such as your study interests or location. If you post a thread, reply to a discussion, or send a message through the contact form, we store that content along with the time it was submitted. We also gather basic technical data automatically, including your browser type, device model, and IP address, to keep the site secure and understand how members use the forum.
Your email address is used to verify your account, send notifications about replies or study groups you follow, and occasionally share updates about forum features. The content you post is displayed publicly to other members so the community can offer feedback and support. Technical data helps us diagnose errors, prevent spam, and improve page performance. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
We use a small number of cookies to remember your login session and your preferences, such as which discussion threads you have read. Anonymous analytics tools help us see which topics are most popular and where members spend their time, so we can organise the forum more usefully. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features, like staying signed in, may stop working correctly.

Account details are kept while your profile is active. If you close your account, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days, although anonymised forum posts may remain visible to preserve the conversation history for other members. Technical logs are retained for 12 months and then deleted automatically.
